Prefer to learn in a group versus taking a private lesson? Join one of our group clinics and learn fundamental skills and maneuvers so you can be a better and safer rider, and have more fun and success on the trails. Group clinics are for 6 riders or less, so you get a good amount of personal feedback but also the benefit of watching other riders and having a great time together.
These clinics are generally intended for adult learners (unless designated as kids clinics). For adult clinics we recommend riders between 14 and 17 attend with a parent or consider a private lesson. For riders younger than 14, private lessons are also a great option.

The MTB Fundamentals clinic is perfect for both beginners who are just starting out or have some experience on easier trails, as well as intermediate-level riders who haven't had any formal MTB coaching and are interested in further refining their skills and learning some of the key concepts and terminology for things they may already be doing on the trail.
Mountain Bike Fundamentals clinics will cover the basics of:
The MTB Foundation Maneuvers clinic is for riders looking to learn or refine their ability to perform key foundation maneuvers to take their riding to the next level.
We'll learn how to use body weight and bike suspension to perform wheel lifts so that you can hop over obstacles and/or lighten the bike when appropriate to ride more challenging sections of trail more smoothly and efficiently. We will also cover proper technique and body position for roll downs as well as slow, tight turns.
The MTB Skills Progression clinic is for intermediate riders interested in progressing their skills on more challenging technical terrain. This clinic is also appropriate for beginners who have already taken the MTB Fundamentals clinic, are comfortable on the easier/smoother trails, and are ready to take their riding to the next level.
Do you want to be more stable and confident rolling down the rootiest sections on Tung Nut or Conquistador? Or to get up those climbs more comfortably and efficiently? Need to improve your ability to look ahead on the trail to better anticipate obstacles and make smart line choices? Ready to navigate tight corners more effectively? Or do you have an upcoming MTB trip to the mountains and want to freshen up your technical skills? This clinic is for you!
Our clinics and private lessons would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of the Friends of San Felasco Citizen Support Organization (CSO), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park.
San Felasco Hammock boasts some of Florida’s finest mountain bike, equestrian, and hiking trails, as well as open spaces for hand launched glider flight thanks to the continued dedication and support of its members and volunteers. Learn more about Friends of San Felasco at sanfelasco.org.
For Fall 2026, we are now offering a trail supporter discount!
